Past Perfect Geçmişin Geçmişi
Geçmişteki bir olaydan daha önce gerçekleşmiş olayları anlatmak için kullanılır.
Ne zaman kullanılır?
- İki geçmiş olaydan önce olanı göstermek: When I arrived, the train had left.
- Geçmişteki bir ana kadar olan deneyim: I had never seen the sea before 2010.
- Reported speech ve 3. tip koşul cümleleri: If I had known, I would have come.
İpucu kelimeler: before, after, already, by the time, when, never ... before
