Dolaylı Sorular Indirect Questions
Kibar soru sorma: "Where is the station?" yerine "Could you tell me where the station is?" Dolaylı soruda cümle sırası olumlu cümle gibidir.
Ne zaman kullanılır?
- Dolaylı sorular daha kibardır ve şu kalıplarla başlar: Could you tell me...? Do you know...? I wonder... I'd like to know...
- Sıra değişir: Doğrudan soruda yardımcı fiil özneden önce gelir; dolaylı soruda özne + fiil sırası kullanılır: Where is the bank? → Do you know where the bank is?
- do/does/did kalkar: What time does the shop open? → Could you tell me what time the shop opens?
- Evet/hayır sorularında if ya da whether: Is he coming? → Do you know if he is coming?
